Gauarani

On the search for the land without evil - the world of the Guarani Indians of South America.
"Long we prayed to the divine beings so that we keep on being able to exist. If we do not live anymore on the earth, who is supposed to maintain then the balance between the earth and the sky? The whole earth would fall".
In the heart of South America the Guarani Indians fight for a human life.
The Pai-Tavytera, forest Indians of the Guarani group, are threatened for example from the massive deforesting of the subtropical rainforest since the 70´s. The Pai see themselve not only in front of an ecological problem. For them the forest means the centre of their cultural and spiritual life. They think that the nature is inspired. To deforest a tree without urgent necessity and without his agreement contradicts the good customs. This kind of the infringements mean for the Pai the destruction of the subtle relationship net between them and the inspired living beings of the nature. In their faulty social situation a lot see only the way out in the suicide.
In the residential area the eastern Paraguay, the south of the Brazilian state contained Matogrosso and Northern-Argentina, the three Guarani-groups of Mbya, Pai-Tavystera (Kayowa) and Ava-Chiripa (Nandeva) live. Since the Conquista the number of the resident Guarani shrunk of 1,5 millions to 60.000 persons. In eastern-Bolivia and northwest-Argentina settling guaranis are speaking Chiriguanos. The Guarani do not see their fight limited on their living space. In their belief the whole world is combined with each other. The Pai see their task in the constant communication with the divine beings and strengths.
So they want to keep the balance between the sky tiers and the earth.
A destruction of the balance would mean the fall of the earth.
